The waters of San Casciano have been used for thousands of years for their thermal properties, but also for domestic purposes until about thirty years ago, thanks to the springs which still feed the "vasconi" (big basins) of the Great Bath close to the main square of the village.

Through inhalation they act on the respiratory system and have mucous and anti-inflammatory effects. With regard to the skin, they have a peeling effect which regenerates and hydrates.
